"Elen Christof has been painting all her life. The Art is her big love and guide. First she started as a model for French, Italian, German and Greek fashion magazines. Back then she was a Film Art Academy student. After getting her Masters degree she worked as a director in the Art Documentary Cinema. She relates painting to cinema since the visual sense of composition and light is so essential to effective filmmaking. Her paintings vary from fine aesthetics to warm vitality. Everything in her art has an exotic Euro-Asian charm, like Elen herself. She was represented by SOHO gallery at Art Expo NY."

Elen about herself

"My art speaks for itself. In my life – I have drawn many paintings, that are with those, who appreciate my feelings and understanding for art and beauty! In NY they are shown in Soho and Long Island galleries.
Friends call me Elena. I am a Bulgarian. My folk, my predecessors came on horses from the Mongolian desert - strong, tall people with black eyes. They captivated blond slaves (like me). So, 1300 years ago, my country Bulgaria was created. It borders with antique Greece, exotic Turkey and mystic Romania (Dracula's land Transylvania). My land has all this, and blue, blue "Black sea" where I am born. Having lived in NYC since 2001 I discovered the most beautiful place in the world - Long Island, and the Pearl "Fire Island". During any season I’d drive 50 miles to Fire Island to see the ocean and the deer. I love animals! I love to ride horses! I love music! I love to swim in the ocean!"
